Marlos was originally a Mechanical Engineer, with experience in hydraulic turbines, speed governors, hydro steelworks, electromechanical and associated equipment, working in a responsible position for major energy authorities.  Most of his career was devoted to hydroelectric projects including:

• high-level management
• feasibility studies
• power plant design
• project reports
• writing of specifications, selection, and design of equipment
• calculation and detailing for the manufacture
• factory inspection, tender evaluation, supervision, and coordination of design, assembly and erection
• commissioning of main equipment, hydro-mechanical and electromechanical equipment.
