Don is a senior principal geotechnical engineer at Stantec with over 25 years of experience in the design and construction of earthfill and rockfill dams. He specializes in engineering design services for siting studies and new dam designs for water supply and hydropower projects. He has been instrumental leading multidisciplinary teams in the design of multiple rockfill and earth embankment dams at commercial and municipal sites in the US, Europe, Africa, and Central and South America. Don has performed or reviewed aspects of the engineering analysis and design of over 60 dams. Don is the engineer of record for the Chimney Hollow Reservoir Dam in Colorado which is a 355-foot-tall HAC core rockfill dam currently under construction.
