Chris Hawkins is the Senior Mechanical Engineer with Hetch Hetchy Water and Power, a service of the San Francisco Public Utilities Commission. He serves as the Operations Representative and Owner’s Engineer on major capital projects and maintenance improvements. Chris holds over 15 experience in engineering, construction, and operations support on projects within hydropower facilities and related infrastructure. He holds a Bachelor's in Mechanical Engineering from Villanova University and is a registered Mechanical Engineer in the State of California. Though an engineer by trade, a hydrologist at heart; when he is not at work Chris can often be found with his wife and two boys measuring the potential energy in the snowpack beneath their skis or the water content in the soil that their bike tires grip.
