Cheryl Reese
Cheryl Reese serves as the Human Resources Director for the Power Marketing Administration Human Resources Shared Service Center within the Office of the Chief Human Capital Officer, Department of Energy.
Over the past three years, Reese has leveraged strengths in leadership, technical excellence, and building client relationships. Her role serves Western Area Power Administration, Southwestern Power Administration, and Southeastern Power Administration. Her clients and HR team span the United States. Reese reports directly to DOE's Deputy Chief Human Capital Officer, and also serves as a member of WAPA's Senior Leadership Team.
Prior to 2021, Reese served as an HR Officer for the General Services Administration where she served 2,500 employees in the West. She also directed GSA's Commissions & Boards HR Service Center caring for 25 executive and legislative branch entities. She gained additional HR experience with the U.S. Office of Personnel Management, and served 10 years with the Department of Interior's Bureau of Reclamation.
Reese holds a master’s degree in public administration from the University of Wyoming. Reese is certified with the Human Resource Certification Institute as a Senior Professional in Human Resources. She grew up on a ranch in southeast Wyoming, and resides in Lakewood, CO.
